Eric Ramsdale – Business Adviser, Management and Funding Specialist

Eric Ramsdale is a highly experienced Manager who has had responsibility for multi million pound budgets and has also run his own business for over 8 years. His early career was in the hugely competitive leisure sector where he worked with both National and International market leaders. He has had organisational responsibility for funding and project management of many developments throughout his working life in both the private and public sectors. He has kept abreast of management theorists whilst adapting that thinking with a foot on the ground approach to getting the job done.

Eric has held management positions since 1973 and has developed other managers to a high level of competence throughout this time. In the early 1990s Eric moved into the realms of local government taking over responsibility for the public leisure services of a 700 square mile area. His main emphasis has always been to provide the best quality service at the best possible cost to the customer.

Throughout Eric's career he has built up a reputation for being firm but fair and has had outstanding working relationships with all his managers and staff. His strengths lie in his ability to think on his feet and to put his own innovative ideas into practice for the benefit of others. He is able to see through the trees and consistently turn crises into opportunities time after time.

The nature of his work has encompassed many sectors of the business world from small private companies through public sector working to blue chip companies. He prides himself on never losing sight of the end user, the one who pays for the service or product and this makes him a valuable asset to the board of the Associates.

Over the past 15 years Eric has worked alongside delegates from local government bodies on strategic groups to focus thinking on improving services in many areas that affect our day to day lives. He has worked with County, Region, National and European funding bodies to obtain the financial tools to get the job done.
